Oh Snap! Gingerbread Cookies

The Holidays are here and I am in baking Heaven. I love to bake any time of the year but this is when I break out the big mixer, stock up on flour, sugar and butter, dig out the cookie cutters and bake my little heart out. Sometimes however, I just need a quick fix where I can just add a couple ingredients like a butter and an egg or so. This is when Betty Crocker mixes come to the rescue. There are so many varieties of Betty Crocker baking mixes and so the possibilities of baking are endless. This recipe is definitely one of my favorites.
I am a total sucker for gingerbread. Gingersnaps, gingerbread houses, chewy gingerbread, etc. I love making these Oh Snap! Gingerbread cookies every year. First of all, I had to visit my local Walmart to grab some mix and ingredients. I love the variety of mixes they have.
Of course I picked up the Gingerbread mix along with others for my baking addiction. Let me walk you through one of my favorite recipes.

  1. I do love Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes. We have a few different kinds in our pantry all year long.
Do you think you can use this mix for a gingerbread house? I buy the kits for my niece and nephew to decorate but it may be fun to make the pieces ourselves.

    1. You should be able to use it. I have not though. I always bake mine to where they are still soft but if you leave them in the oven a little longer they will be harder and then they should work. I think there is actually a recipe on the package for gingerbread houses.
